Cooking can be a romantic and inspiring process. Cooking at home for yourself or family and friends can be a wonderful experience since it has no pressure or timeline. Choose the Proper Workspace Materials

The place where you prepare your food should have a table and shelves underneath. There should be a special equipment to hold slicers and mixers. If your kitchen has an open space that is not in use, try to look for a smaller filler table to maximize the workspace. To boost efficiency, you can use under-counter refrigeration or a refrigerated preparation table that doubles as cold component storage. You can also use upright cutting board racks to increase storage space. Tools that Play Together should be put Together

All tools with similar function should stay together. Group and return to the same place tools such as small electrical appliances, baking pans, pots, plastic containers, and larger platters. Other items such as equipment should also have defined homes. To make replacement easier and faster and also to eliminate the chances of confusion put labels on places where each item goes. Having a particular location for each item in the kitchen will make cooking and cleaning much faster.

Divide the kitchen into different working stations. For instance, there should be an area for grilling, desserts, salads, plating and slicing. Ensuring that everyone is in charge of a certain zone will make the place more streamlined and also reduce chaos. Each zone should have the proper equipment suitable for the task being performed. For example, the baking station should have a rolling pin, standing mixer, flour, etc. The preparation zone should have cutting boards, knives and any other preparation equipment within arm’s reach.

If a restaurant specializes in producing same foods such as pizza and burgers, the assembly line configuration is the perfect option since it lays out the kitchen space in order of use. For instance, a restaurant that specializes in preparing pizza can begin with a refrigerator, then a dough shaping station, progress to the pizza preparation table for toppings, and finally finish with a warming zone.
